How is Arris Partners Tied to the Biggest Craft Brewing Festival hosted in Raleigh?

On April 22-23, 2016, Downtown Raleigh became a destination for 30,000 people at Brewgaloo, the annual festival celebrating North Carolina’s craft brewing industry. Mark Weldon from our Arris Partners team brought this festival (and the Brewgaloo name) to life five years ago, and remains involved as a volunteer.  Brewgaloo has quickly grown to become the biggest North Carolina Craft Brewing festival anywhere, featuring NC breweries from the mountains to the coast.

Brewgaloo raises funds and awareness for Shop Local Raleigh, a community non-profit which serves local independent businesses all around Wake County.  Shop Local Raleigh raises public awareness about the unique businesses in our community, and acts as a vital resource to help these businesses thrive. Studies consistently demonstrate the power of shopping locally – by keeping more money in our local economy. Mark says “Shop local…. And while you’re at it, drink local, eat local, listen local, and donate local.  It’s really good for our community to show some local love”.

Arris Partners has even more history with the Shop Local movement. Kevin Coggins, our Agricultural Practice Manager, helped create Shop Local Raleigh itself, during his tenure with The Greater Raleigh Merchants Association. Arris Partners is proud to be part of our vibrant local economy.
